Welcome to Lake Delavan House

Delavan House is located in the city of Delavan, Wisconsin (population 8505) – known for its beautiful lakes, parks and unique history, with the downtown featuring a historic brick street. We are a residential treatment facility licensed under Wisconsin Chapter DHS 83 and certified under DHS Chapter 75 to support persons navigating the challenges of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs – i.e., drug or alcohol addiction) and any co-occurring mental illnesses or chronic medical conditions. We offer person-centered treatment services to foster transformative outcomes.

On the theory that the physical environment has a significant therapeutic benefit, Lake Delavan House has two side-by-side 8-bed houses explicitly designed with healing and comfort in mind. Located within a quiet residential neighborhood, our two houses are supplemented by an outside sports court; and an annex facility that is approximately 1.5 miles away in downtown Delavan, within walking distance of the lake.

Downtown Delavan’s historic brick road is not only a unique place because it is on the State Register of Historic Places, but also because it is where some of Delavan’s restaurants and shops are located. Antique stores, craft and gift shops, cafes and restaurants line both sides of the brick road from 4th Street down three blocks to Tower Park.

Clients are transported to the annex on a daily basis.  The annex is used for individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, music therapy, art therapy, cinema therapy, Yoga and other activities all designed to help in the healing and recovery process. During their stay at Lake Delavan House, along with treatment services clients stay in relaxing and comfortable rooms, enjoy delicious meals, and go on escorted recreational outings.
